Marinating in the Mooc

…that’s what Stephen Downes proclaimed in our PLENK2010 synchronous Elluminate session this Wednesday. Bless his heart for his clarity. I respect his knowledge and expertise.  I have been working hard to figure out how libraries can stay relevant in this next century or if they even can. It occurred to me in flash – a Eureka Moment ! – Librarians need to teach others how to have their own personal “libraries” (can you say network?) or personal learning environments. That is a massive task for education. It can be hard to think like a network. We have http and rss now and we are not going backwards. And, believe me, I would not want to.
